The Leadership of Health Payment Systems (HPS) has many years of experience in understanding the needs of healthcare providers and consumers. This experience has been critical in the development of the unique healthcare payment solutions offered by HPS.
As Chief Executive Officer, Jay is responsible for the overall performance of Health Payment Systems and leads the growth strategy for the organization to increase market share while building customer relationships.
Jay’s career encompasses more than 25 years of executive management experience in the health care industry. He joined HPS from United Healthcare where he most recently served as Regional Chief Executive Officer in the Midwest Region. He came to United Healthcare via the United Healthcare acquisition of Touchpoint Health Plan where he served as their Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Jay has held numerous other leadership roles in the industry prior to joining TouchPoint.
Jay holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse and is a board member of the Appleton Medical Center Foundation , Froedtert Hospital Board , Community First Credit Union and a number of community organizations.
In his role as President and COO, Terry has a wide range of responsibilities including driving growth and developing business strategy to guide day-to-day operations. Rowinski’s rise within the organization is a testament to his leadership and strategic focus on fostering a culture of employee engagement and collaboration. His leadership in his previous role as Chief Information Officer was instrumental to enhancing the IT and operational infrastructure at HPS.
Prior to joining HPS in 2014, Terry was the Chief Operating Officer for BuySeasons, Inc. , an online retail organization where he was responsible for the company’s substantial growth via new product development, as well as, technology and operational enhancements. While at BuySeasons, Terry led the delivery of its industry-leading manufacturing, fulfillment, customer care, associate relations and technology functions.
Terry brings over 25 years of executive management experience focused on efficiencies through the use of technology and business process optimization. Prior to joining BuySeasons, Terry held several operational management roles at Exel Logistics/DPWN , Kohl’s Department Stores and McHugh Software (now JDA ).
Terry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, Computer Systems and Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater . Terry’s own passion as a life-long learner is exemplified through his unwavering support of his team’s professional development as well as his support for secondary education via his service to multiple educationally-focused organizations in Wisconsin.
James “Jim” Brindley is one of the founders of Health Payment Systems, Inc. and focused on the development of the core concepts associated with the HPS Single Payment System business model. Today, he serves as Corporate Secretary of Health Payment Systems Board of Directors.
Jim joined HPS in October, 2006, and served as Chief Legal Counsel where he was responsible for Legal, Government Relations and Compliance functions. Prior to joining HPS, Jim worked as an attorney in private practice for over thirty years, most recently at Davis & Kuelthau .
During his legal career, his practice focused on business and commercial transactions in the banking and health care sectors. Prior to joining HPS, he represented financial institutions with respect to new product development and the structure of financial transactions. He also represented health care networks in connection with new product development, acquisition, negotiations and contracting.
Jim has degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Wisconsin and is actively engaged in numerous community organizations.
Beth Griffin serves as Chief Marketing and Product Officer and is responsible for the strategic positioning of HPS by leading the company’s marketing, consumer engagement and product development efforts.
Prior to joining HPS, Beth was the Global Business Leader for Healthcare and Insurance at MasterCard where she was responsible for expanding their market position through thought-leadership, product innovation and development of their solution set. The Institute of Healthcare Consumerism recognized Beth as a 2013 Health Care Consumerism Superstar for Innovation for her wellness focus in the move from health care to health.
Beth has over 30 years of experience in the financial services and healthcare payments industries. Prior to joining MasterCard, Beth held a variety of leadership, emerging product and business development roles at OptumHealth Financial Services , Metavante (now FIS Global ) and Firstar (now US bank ).
Beth is actively engaged in numerous industry organizations and boards including the Health care Information and Management System Society (HIMSS) Revenue Cycle Improvement Task Force, American Bankers Association Health Savings Account Council Board, Special Interest Group for IIAS Standards (SIGIS) Board, Employers Council on Flexible Compensation Board, America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and National Business Group on Health (NBGH).
Andy Schatz serves as Treasurer and is responsible for financial operations and all treasury-related activities, including controllership, treasury and management of financial relationships, financial analysis and financial risk management.
Prior to joining HPS in April, 2010, Andy founded Andrew Douglas, a Public Accounting Firm in Brookfield, WI, which focused on helping closely held businesses with their accounting and tax needs. Prior to that, Andy developed his skills in public accounting with the regional firm Winter, Kloman, Moter and Repp .
Andy holds a bachelor’s degree from University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is actively involved in numerous community organizations.
